With a delegation of 24 leading IT exhibitors, the country aims to showcase its growing capabilities in the technology sector and reinforce its status as a rising digital powerhouse.
Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, highlighted the importance of the nation’s participation, stating that Pakistan is honoured to be recognised as the ‘Tech Destination of the Year 2024’ by GITEX Global. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the country’s rapid progress in the IT and tech industries and solidifies its position as an emerging hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
"Pakistan’s recognition as 'Tech Destination of the Year' is a reflection of our strides in digital innovation," Ambassador Tirmizi said in a statement on Sunday. "GITEX Global offers an unparalleled platform for our companies to connect with global tech leaders, investors, and potential partners. The Government of Pakistan has facilitated a 156-square-meter exhibition space at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where Pakistani companies are poised to leave a lasting impression. The country’s presence at GITEX Global 2024 underscores its growing influence in the global digital economy and its potential as a leading IT destination.
GITEX Global, which runs from October 14 to 18, brings together tech giants, governments, start-ups, and investors from around the world, serving as a hub for transformative innovations.
